My neighbors car was stolen 2 nights ago, 1 down our house. In front of his house. We're just really paranoid now, including the neighbors. To think we live in a courtroom, so I would see any suspicious people hanging out, but it happened! We now have an alarm system in our cars, but its not expensive. And just today, we installed 2 large lamps in front of our house. What else should I do? Am I still missing something?

What to do after burglary?

Saturday, January 17th, 2009
Clay asked:

My friend 's home was stolen recently. Apart from the obvious (police reports, insurance, get a new alarm system), what else should he do? ¿Ideas of how to get the police involved more? She seemed somewhat apathetic. Maybe because she has bigger crimes to solve. What about the mitigation of risk of theft of the letter up? I 've heard that it' s a common household stolen multiple times. The thief waits for the money from the insurance claim will be passed on to new things. ¿Thoughts on how to prevent theft of the letter up?

How about one more so I won’t quite be as annoying as T-Bone35 ?
