How do you shut of a malfunctioning car alarm without the fob that comes with a new jeep?

Friday, November 6th, 2009
Nanny Tina asked:

I have a 'magnificent 96 cherokee ltd jeep came with a factory alarm. I bought this car a year ago, but didn 't get a fob with the car, so I assumed it was lost or broken. Several weeks ago, the alarm activated in the middle of the night, so I used my key to open the door and start the car, which took care of the problem until last night. My girlfriend left 'sa place to go home, and as I opened my door, the alarm goes off. This time, i couldn 't turn the alarm off on the car. Volcaría and close immediately, allowing the horn to blow the save. Our local boys in blue of course responded as if the world 'donut shop largest s just opened for business, yet be free to anyone who could produce the best technical Gestapo. The leader of the package assured me that the jeep did not have an alarm as an option, although it showed the owner 's manual that came with the jeep. I opened the hood and one of these brave souls disarm my system by removing the horn 's fuse inside the small black box on the side of the passenger compartment of the reactor. That stopped the noise, but the jeep can not be started (apparently the alarm is still active). If I disconnect the battery and then plug it in again the computer will reset and allow normal operation of the vehicle? Let me make this question is answered by a technician or a technician from the alarm, not someone that Chrysler is just guessing, like me.
